Jet Media Network's flying start to 2023 has continued with its inclusion in SportsPro's annual list of the most attractive tech start-ups for investors
SportsPro has selected 20 sports tech start-ups that, in their words, "should be on the radar of every investor and sports organisation in 2023."
JMN's forthcoming ICONOME platform was picked out by a panel of experts across the sports technology ecosystem.
"The digitisation of sport is strengthening the ties between the worlds of sport and technology," said a SportsPro article announcing the news.
"This transformation is being driven not just by partnerships with big tech, but also by agile, innovative startups that bring fresh ideas to the table and are better equipped to react to changing trends."
JMN is helping 'icons' across multiple genres build digital-focused communities and establish direct relationships with their fanbases, bypassing traditional platforms that control data and take a disproportionate share of revenue.
They offer the tools and resources to build apps to reach and grow audiences, deepening fan relationships and unlocking greater revenue opportunities.
Brazilian soccer legend Ronaldinho’s official app is already live and more than 25 other apps are coming in 2023.
"I’m truly excited to see Jet Media Network and ICONOME on the SportsPro list," said Jesper Schertiger, CEO of JMN.
"It's great to see how, within a few weeks, two global organisations like SXSW and SportsPro have recognised our business and the hard work and great efforts of our team."
